Reichenbach - Platou (1) - Porțelan
Bonbon dish by the German Reichenbach company. Period 1981-1990.
The factory was founded in 1900 by a group of porcelain decorators, and started production in 1901. Two years later, it was taken over by Gustav Schwabe.
In 1918, the brothers Christian and Ernst Carstens took over the factory, who at that time already owned factories in Rheinsberg, Haldensleben, Rathenow, Velten, Gräfenroda, Georgenthal, Greußen, Wallhausen, Sorau, Blankenhain, Lübeck, Elmshorn, Zeven and Hirschau. In 1937, they employed about 170 employees.
After the Second World War, the factory found itself in East Germany, whose authorities increasingly interfered in running the business until it finally nationalised the plant in 1968. It was easier for the owners to get rid of it. After the nationalisation, the company became a subsidiary of VEB Porzellankombinat Kahla as Werk XI, and eventually became part of the newly founded plant Porzellanfiguren Gräfenthal in 1972.
After the reunification of Germany, the factory was sold to an Iranian investor, whose plans failed, and three years later he was forced to sell it.
