Construction: This classic boat, extrapolation in larger size of the frigates ordered in the 60s by the nautical centre of Glénans, was built on Herbulot plans by the shipyard Mallard of La Rochelle in moulded wood and plywood. The bridge, rebuilt in 2004/2005, is slatted. The renewed upholstery is in very good condition. Painting of hull and varnish roof were done each year. Windows changed in 2008. 2 crutches. Motor mounts HB, buoy, and survival. In 2015 the keel was removed, its bolts were renewed, rehabilitation of the sole and the keel, coating and epoxy covering.
Layout: Front cabin (double bed) - corridor wardrobe, closets and toilet compartment - square with kitchen, folding table and maps table (HSB: 1.80 m), ventilation through 2 boxes - central cockpit - aft cabin (2 bunks) - two large rear chests.
Rigging: sloop in head - sleeping rigging and winder changed in 2016 - down prop for staysail - textile halyards 2016 in mast with winch - (3) Classic reefing - 2 original sheet winches (Goiot) - symmetric spinnaker (spinnaker) and asymmetrical rigging (bowsprit) - lazy-jacks - fully battened mainsail - 2 genoa on furler - 1 breeze staysail with reefing - asymmetrical spinnaker + symmetrical spinnaker.
Mooring and anchorage: mooring compartment with 2 anchors + chain + jumpers - 3rd anchorage in the rear trunk back with davit. many hawsers + 8 fenders, 2 boat hooks (one automatic) - inflatable tender + Old 4-stroke hb Honda but that works perfectly.
Engine: Lombardini LDW 602 M 17 HP 2300 hours - hour counter- serviced every year - silent-blocks changed, engine gaskets (spi, cylinder head, crankcase), water pump, alternator, wiring harness--three-bladed propeller - 55 l tank + jerry cans - consumption: 1.2 l/h /.
12 V Electric circuit, powered by engine alternator or from shore power - 2 batteries - 1 charger/splitter/regulator - LED lighting in cabins.
220v circuit with shore power and 5 inside outlets protected by circuit breaker.
Instruments: Loch/sounder (2011) handset - Fixed VHF Navicom ST 650/DSC/AIS (2011) coupled with the tracer drive - drive plotter Raymarine (2015) with European map making. -1 portable VHF ICOM - 1 portable GPS.
Safety and navigation equipment: full for ocean navigation except tag + guides + maps -Plastimo life raft from 2016.
Behaviour: It is above all a cruise ship with which I accomplished in 11 years 17000 nautical miles since Scotland until Sardinia without major problems and with a comforting sense of security. Its hull allows a soft passage even on a rough sea and it is also swift as the most current cruise ships, we checked it many times. Its condition is excellent for a fifty years old boat and will remain much longer if I can pass the baton to a new ship lover and hoping to get news occasionally.
