Bultaco - Sherpa T 250cc Pireneos - 1980 Historical notes: The Bultaco company's area of dominance was off-road, in motocross, enduros, and observed trials competition. They manufactured the best trials bikes, called “Sherpa”. Their displacements were 250 and 350cc and they were directly competing with Montesa bikes. Based on these exceptional trials bike, the company created a small series of bikes between Enduro and trial: the Bultaco Sherpa T 250 Pireneos. Different from the traditional trials bikes, they were provided with a longer saddle, and had a more pronounced off-road attitude. The motorcycle of this lot is one of these rare and perfect Bultaco bikes. The bike: the body has been fully restored and the engine fully overhauled. The engine has been completely redone. Main bearings, piston and radial shaft seals have been replaced (these last with seals purchased from Benso, Bultaco importer in the 1970s-80s). Frame and side covers have been powder painted. New tires Front suspensions redone with new seals. Betor new rear suspensions Original carburettor with new float bowl and needle; new points and capacitor. Original 9 l tank, very hard to find in these conditions. The seller will give, as spare parts, also two new handgrips and two Bultaco labels for the tank.
