Topographical top painting, Leidse School, Cornelis Groeneveld, born
in Schiedam on 4 February 1882 and passed away in Leiden on 28 September 1952.
Depiction: Polder landscape in Woubrugge (province of Zuid-Holland), farms/trees.
At the foreground a farmer with two cows at dusk with a setting sun.
Especially beautiful colours/sky and detail.
Oil paint on canvas with a height of 80 cm and a width of 100 cm.
The dimensions including the Grecor frame are 100 x 120 cm.
Signed on the bottom right.
The painting is in authentic and excellent condition.
Authenticity is warranted.
In reality many times nicer than in the photos.
Verso: The painting was at one point bought at Art Agencies International fine painting and art Books, Noordeinde 111, 2514 GE The Hague. Sticker present on the stretcher.
The painter lived and worked in Rotterdam, Nieuw-Loosdrecht, ca.1913-1915, Woubrugge and Katwijk aan Zee 1951-1952. He was a student at the Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in Rotterdam. He painted sill lifes, landscapes and figures.
